Food For Thought In Light of Current Protests

Well shit, ya know what?

The biggest lesson this election was for the Dems not listening to the people. That cost them the Presidency and Senate, and at least one likely Supreme Court appointment. I'll exclude the House as a large power platform for now.

If you would like to discount the anger and frustration you are currently seeing being felt and vocalized by a higher number of Americans than which voted for Donald Trump just a few days ago, you do so at your own risk.

Congrats to the Rs for the win. But you break it, you bought it and while you may have all eyes on us and how we're sloughing off our outrage and frustration, what you should be doing is focusing your eyes on your own party to see what they do next and how it's going to affect that higher proportion of people who are currently angry that you want to poo-poo away.

There is wisdom in that statement, if you choose to see it.

  1. I had a friend in my youth that had a hot rod. The first time I got in his car he said, "Sit down, buckle you seat belt, and shut up." I remember how I felt that day. Today I'm feeling intense deja vu.

Donald came from the rear and did what everyone said he couldn't do. Like him or not, I tip my hat to the man. At this point I can only hope he does make America great again and the rising tide lifts all ships.
